Location

 

The IFH is located at 386 Marlborough St. between Massachusetts Ave (Mass Ave) and Hereford Street in Boston’s majestic Back Bay. From the IFH you can easily walk to the many shops and restaurants that line Mass Ave, Newbury, and Boylston streets. The Prudential Center and two shopping malls are five minutes away on foot, and the John Hancock building and Copley Square is a ten-minute walk away. Even the Boston Common and other sections of Boston, such as Beacon Hill, are easily accessible on foot or by public transportation.

The IFH is located close to many universities in Boston. We are a few blocks away from Berklee College of Music, Boston University, M.I.T., and a short ride via public transportation from Harvard University, Northeastern University, University of Massachusetts, and other area colleges.

The IFH is located a few blocks from the Hynes Convention Center stop on the T (subway) Green Line.

 

From Logan Airport, take the free Logan Express to Hynes Convention Center. Once you arrive in front of the convention center you need to walk across the street and follow Hereford Street for three blocks until you reach Marlborough Street. Take a left on Marlborough and walk about halfway down the street. We are on the left. Or you can take a taxi.

 

From the South Station (Amtrak), take the Red Line to Park Street and transfer to the Green Line.  Take trains B, C, or D heading outbound to the Hynes Convention Center/ICA station.

Once you are at the Hynes Convention Center/ICA T stop, exit onto Massachusetts Ave.  Turn right and walk north on Mass Ave (toward the river) for three blocks until you get to Marlborough St.  Turn right (east) onto Marlborough St.  The IFH is halfway down the first block on the right, at 386 Marlborough St.

 

Driving

From Rt. 93 (coming north or south): Exit onto the Storrow Drive/Cambridge exit, and follow signs for the Storrow Drive.  Once you are on Storrow Drive, do NOT get in the left lane and do NOT take the first exit which exits up and to the left (Government Center exit).  Take the SECOND exit (Back Bay/Copley Place exit) to the left off of Storrow Drive. This exit goes right under the orange Arthur Fiedler footbridge. Get into the middle lane at the light and turn right onto Beacon St.  Follow Beacon St. through seven lights and at the eighth light turn left onto Mass Ave.  Once on Mass Ave, turn left at the first light onto Marlborough St.  The IFH is halfway down the first block, at 386 Marlborough St.

 

From Rt. 90 (Mass Pike): After entering the city on the Mass Pike, the road will enter a tunnel.  On the right there will be an exit for Prudential and Copley Square.  Take that exit but remain in the left lane (the exit has two lanes), following signs for ‘Prudential.’  The ramp will exit onto Huntington Ave.  Follow Huntington Ave and go through one light, and at the next light, turn right onto Mass Ave.  Follow Mass Ave 6 or 7 blocks to Marlborough Street.  Turn right onto Marlborough St.  The IFH is halfway down the first block, at 386 Marlborough St.
